For the most natural blend, choose a Halo length close to your own hair. As a general guide: 12" is best for shorter hair, 16" for medium-length hair and 20" for longer hair.

Not sure where your hair falls? Measure from the top of your ear straight down to where your natural hair ends rather than guessing based on where it sits on your body.

Your ends can make a difference in how your Halo blends with your natural hair. Blunt means your hair stays thick and full all the way to the ends. Feathered means your ends gradually taper but still have some fullness. Wispy means your ends are finer, lighter and more see-through.

If you have very blunt ends, your Halo may need to be professionally cut or layered to create the most seamless blend.

Yes. Our Fine Halo is designed specifically for thin or fine hair, adding natural-looking fullness without unnecessary bulk.

Because the Halo sits underneath your natural hair, your own hair falls over it to conceal the wire and help create a seamless blend.

If your natural hair is very thick or blunt and you're adding significant length, we recommend having your Halo professionally cut or layered to help it blend seamlessly with your natural hair.

Sitting Pretty Halo extensions add instant length and volume without glue, tape or permanent bonds.

The Halo sits around the crown of your head on a lightweight wire hidden underneath your natural hair. Once your hair is pulled over the wire and blended with the extension hair, your Halo sits discreetly and securely in place.

Place the wire around the crown of your head like a headband. Then use the tail comb provided to gently pull your natural hair over the wire.

Blend your natural hair with your Halo, style as usual, and you're ready to go.

Your Halo includes multiple wire sizes so you can adjust the fit to your head.

The right wire should sit comfortably and securely without digging into your scalp or slipping. If it feels too tight or too loose, try the next wire size until you find the most comfortable fit.

Shop replacement kits

Your Halo should feel secure and comfortable, never tight. It sits about 1 to 2 inches behind your hairline, resting horizontally around the crown of your head, with your natural hair falling over it to keep the wire concealed.

If the sides are poking out or showing, check that the wire hook is attached to the first loop — attaching it farther down is the most common cause of bunching. It may feel a little different the first few times you wear it, but it shouldn't dig into your scalp or cause ongoing discomfort.

This usually comes down to wire size or positioning. If it's digging in or leaving an indent, try sizing up — your Halo comes with multiple wire sizes so you can adjust the fit. If it keeps slipping, double-check it's positioned correctly around the crown first. Either way, the included clips give you extra hold without needing to tighten the wire further.

Depending on your haircut and how much length you're adding, you may choose to have a professional stylist trim or layer your Halo for an even more seamless blend.

Yes. Replacement wires and kits are available on our site, so you can swap to a different size or replace a wire that has worn out without needing a new Halo.

Wash your Halo only when it needs it, rather than on a set schedule. As a general guide that's around every 15 to 20 wears, though it depends on how often you wear it and how much product you use. The less you wash your Halo, the longer it will last.

Use gentle shampoo and conditioner suitable for human hair extensions. Avoid overwashing and make sure all product is thoroughly rinsed from the hair.

Avoid washing it again right away, as repeated washing can make dryness worse.

Apply a small amount of nourishing leave-in serum through the mid-lengths and ends to help restore softness and manageability. Start with a small amount to avoid product buildup.

Yes. Your Halo can be cut, curled, straightened and styled like your own hair.

For cutting or layering, we recommend taking your Halo to a professional stylist rather than cutting it at home. When using hot tools, always apply a heat protectant first and keep your tools at or below 300°F. Lower is always safer, since your Halo doesn't receive the natural oils your own hair gets from your scalp.

We only recommend toning your Halo one to two shades darker, never lighter and never bleach it.

Because each Halo is made from Remy human hair that has already undergone color processing, results can vary.

If you decide to tone your Halo, we strongly recommend taking it to a professional stylist rather than coloring it at home. Sitting Pretty cannot take responsibility for Halos that have been colored.

Yes. Your Halo is designed to sit low and blends most easily with your hair down or in half-up styles, but you can still create ponytails, buns and soft updos with a few styling tricks to keep the wire concealed.

With the right care, your Sitting Pretty Halo can last 6 months to a year, depending on how often you wear, wash and heat-style it. Gentle washing, mindful heat styling and proper storage will help keep your Halo looking and feeling its best for longer.

Store your Halo somewhere cool and dry, laid flat or gently coiled in its pouch, and brush it out before you put it away. Avoid hanging it by the wire for long periods, as the weight can pull the hair out of shape over time.

A Halo sits on a single lightweight wire around the crown of your head and takes seconds to put in, with nothing attached to your natural hair. Clip-ins come as separate wefts that clip into sections of your hair, which lets you place volume and length more precisely and works well for updos and styles where a Halo wire would be harder to conceal.

Yes. Whenever possible, orders are shipped from our local warehouses to speed up delivery.

If your halo ships from an international warehouse, delivery usually takes 7–10 business days.

At checkout, select express shipping, then email your order number to hello@sittingprettyhalohair.com. We’ll do our best to prioritize your order.

You can exchange your Sitting Pretty Halo within 30 days of receiving your order, as long as it’s in its original, unused condition with the “Do Not Remove” tag still attached. It must include all original packaging and accessories. You may open the box to check the colour match, but the halo cannot be worn.

To start an exchange, simply contact us with your order details. Please note that return postage is the customer’s responsibility (we recommend using tracked shipping and keeping proof of postage). Once we receive and inspect your halo, we’ll process your exchange if it meets all requirements.

For hygiene and product integrity reasons, Sitting Pretty Halos are non-returnable once worn or if the “Do Not Remove” tag has been removed. This means we cannot accept exchanges or returns if the halo has been:

• Styled, cut, trimmed, washed, coloured, or toned
• Worn or shows any signs of use
• Had its “Do Not Remove” tag removed

You may open the box to check your colour match, but the halo cannot be worn and the “Do Not Remove” tag must remain attached to qualify for an exchange. This policy ensures that every halo we ship is 100% new, safe, and salon-quality.

Customs fees or import duties may apply on international orders, depending on your country’s regulations. These charges are set by local customs authorities and are the customer’s responsibility.
