The Ultimate Morning Routine for Hair Growth [Your 5 Step Plan]In this article
Are you struggling with hair growth? Your hair just isn't growing? And sometimes you swear your hair is actually getting shorter! 🤔
Well...you're not alone. In fact, I've worked with hundreds of girls (maybe even thousands) and most of them said the same thing.
Growing your hair is damn hard. Unless you've got the secret recipe that will help you grow your hair 2-3x faster, and about 50% thicker. In just a few months...
And you're in luck today, because you just so happened to have stumbled upon it!
The secret recipe to thicker, longer hair in just a few months
In the beginning of 2017 I decided I'd had enough.
My hair was getting thinner, and shorter...and...crap'er (if that's a word).
Sure I had my halo hair extension. But I still wanted to be able to grow my own hair. Because, more is more...right?
And after speaking with hundreds of girls who were all dealing with the same dilemma, I started to research "how to grow your hair faster", "how to grow your hair longer", "how to grow your hair thicker", "how to grow your hair healthier"...
...the list goes on.
And what I realised is, there are 3 main reasons why our hair stops growing. Can you guess what they are?
Hint: It's not what you think it would be.
The Hair Growth Trifecta; the 3 reasons why your hair doesn't grow
Firstly; all genetics aside. Ok.
You just can't mess with genetics (except you can now...but should you? #science)
Other than this one primary issue in hair growth...there are 3 reasons why your hair doesn't grow.
They are the Hair Growth Trifecta!
Here they are:
- Toxicity - your body or your hair is too toxic. When your body is in a state of toxicity it won't prioritise hair growth. It just won't! So you need to detox.
- Stress - if you're a stress-head you're most likely suffering from hair loss and lack of hair growth. Again, if your body is always living in a high stress state then it will de-prioritise hair and nail growth, and instead prioritise cortisol production (also known as the stress hormone). So you need to destress.
- Nutrition - Your hair grows from your head (duh). And in order to grow hair you need...the right nutrients. Most people suffer from some degree of malnutrition. So we need more nutrients!
If you understand the Hair Growth Trifecta then the rest is relatively easy.
And in the rest of this article I'm gonna make it my mission to show you just how easy it is.

Your 5 Step Plan To Hair Happiness; and hair growth!
It's as easy as; 1, 2, 3... 4, 5.
That's right! 5 simple steps to detox your body, destress your body, and ingest more nutrients.
And we'll make it dead simple.
Ready to get started?
Let's go...
1. Rehydrate with Warm Lemon Water 🍋

When we were kids, we learned about the difference between want and need.
Sure, we need to eat breakfast in the morning.
But...
We don't need three scoops of ice cream after lunch? (That's not a trick question)
What's that got to do with anything?
Well, water is something we certainly do need.
Without proper hydration, our bodies simply...cannot function. And this includes hair growth 🤓
If you want to grow your hair, you need to make sure you are not one of the two thirds of Australians who don't drink enough water.
So what we're gonna do is this...
Activity:
Every morning, gently warm a tall glass of water and squeeze in a few drops of lemon juice. I like to add a wedge.
Then drink it down as fast as you can.
And if you're going for gold...fill the glass up again, add another wedge, and bottoms up.
Not only will this give you the perfect start to your daily hydration, but the lemon juice will kick off your body's natural detoxification process.
Which in turn leaves your body primed for hair growth 👍🏼
Just don't forget to keep on drinking water throughout the day!
2. Detox your scalp in preparation for massive hair growth

Your hair and hair follicles are areas where a lot of toxins leave your body.
This can cause your scalp to be inflamed.
Most girls experience some degree of psoriasis and itchy scalp.
So we've got to address this. Here's what we'll do...
Activity:
Simply mix tea tree oil with warm water to create a luxurious serum.
Next, massage the serum into the scalp 💆🏼
Aim for an even spread across your whole head and work deeply into the hair. Giving yourself a head massage always feels good, but this technique also benefits hair growth in the long term.
Leave the serum to settle in your hair and scalp for five to ten minutes before washing.
This gives the serum time to work its magic and detoxify your scalp, giving you the perfect base for serious hair growth.
We know that not everyone is a morning person. If you wash your hair at night, simply switch this point over to the evening.
It'll still work a treat 👌🏼

3. The perfect way to destress and 10x your hair growth

Who said that exercise had to be hard?
I hate running as much as the next person.
But this...this I can do.
Star jumps are the perfect exercise to do in the morning for sooooo many reasons.
Firstly, it increases blood flow in your body.
Secondly, increased blood flow detoxifies your system.
Thirdly, it reduces cortisol levels (stress) which switches your body back to neutral. And that's exactly where you want to keep it for your hair to grow freely.
The list of benefits goes on; weight loss, balancing hormones, mood, focus, etc. etc.
But we're here to talk about hair growth.
And like I said...
To grow your hair you need to destress.
This is the key.
Actually, the key is to make it fun. Make it easy.
If you hate running and doing exercise, and killing yourself. Then don't do it. Just keep it simple.
Activity:
I set myself a limit. Every day I'll do 15 star jumps, 3 times, with a 1-2 minute break in between.
But you-do-you.
If you're a Gold Medalist Olympic Athlete, and you're able to crank out 50 star jumps, 3 times, with a 30 second break, then go for it.
Or if you're unfit AF and can only do 10 star jumps, 3 times with a 2 minute break in between, then that's what you're working with.
This isn't a competition. Just do what works for you.
What I will say, though, is this:
It's important to keep your heart rate up over a longish period of time (5-6 minutes). Hence doing sets of star jumps 3 times with a short break in between.
Doing this is amazing for hair growth.
Keep it up girl! Only 2 more steps to go...
4. Boost your nutrition intake; and give your body the building blocks for hair growth

Nutrition is easy.
And unlocking the secret to quick, natural hair growth can be as straightforward as selecting the right herbal supplement.
There are lots of different types of herbal supplement available, and most are safe for almost anyone to consume 👩🏻⚕️
However, it's always important to consult your doctor before using a herbal supplement. Especially if you're on some other medication.
While these supplements are not dangerous on their own, they can interact with medicines and other health products to create side effects which can be pretty nasty.
Or at least so I've heard...
...on the internet.
👉🏼 If in doubt, seek advice. 👈🏼
Here are the supps I've been taking that've worked miracles for me:
Saw palmetto
Saw palmetto has been linked to a reduction of levels of the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme within the body.
It's this enzyme which can produce DHT; a severe hair growth inhibitor.
Taking a saw palmetto supplement is almost always safe, but isn't recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for minors.
Side effects sometimes include mild headaches and stomach irritation, so consult your doctor if this occurs.
Zinc or Iron
Not getting enough zinc or iron in your diet can make it difficult for you to hit your hair growth targets. Consider taking a zinc or iron supplement to keep you on track to hair happiness.
Very few people experience any negative effects from simple mineral supplements like zinc or iron. Don't forget to get in touch with your doctor and stop taking the supplement immediately if you experience anything unusual.
Personally I cycle iron on and off. And I feel great from it!
Hair ReVive (I'm using this right now)
Many naturopaths recommend the Hair ReVive supplement.
Featuring B complex vitamins and a range of Chinese herbal remedies, Hair ReVive has been linked to the promotion of healthy hair growth and lovely, lustrous locks.
Who could ask for more?
Hair ReVive contains only natural ingredients, but it's still recommended to stay aware of your condition whenever you take this supplement.

Yep, we're talking about cannabis.
But not the kind of cannabis that you tried when you were younger...
We're talking about hemp oil. And it's totally side-effect free.
No hunger pangs (munchies), no dizzy spells (trippin'), or dancing on the wrong side of the law.
Hemp is completely safe, completely free of DHT (the chemical that makes you high) and super-duper healthy.
The scientifically proven benefits of Hemp oil for health are extraordinary to say the very least.
And...
More recently the link between the consumption of Hemp oil and hair growth is so strong that we should all be trying it!
Here's how simple it is...
Activity:
Get yourself a bottle of Hemp oil (available in most health shops since it's regarded a health product).
Then eat a spoonful of the oil daily, ideally in the morning. (don't worry, you won't be breaking any laws, it's 100% legit).
That's it.
And aside from the long list of health benefits, Hemp oil has been proven to;
- Help your hair and scalp retain water during dry seasons.
- Strengthen the follicles and promote growth of strong hair strands to stand the test of time.
- Improve blood circulation of your scalp which promotes hair growth.
- It contains high levels of Omega 3, 6 and 9, all of which are necessary building blocks for hair growth.
Hemp oil is something I love, and it's quite the miracle formula.
It works to promote hair growth and to strengthen hair and prevent breakage. It also acts as a moisturiser, giving you a super healthy scalp in the process.
So good.
Try it!
Bonus tips:
For all you overachievers, here are two bonus tips for taking this to the next level 🥇
a. Massaging a small amount of hemp oil into your hair and scalp can do wonders for follicle growth. Squeeze a few drops of hemp oil into your hands and then run them through your hair. The oil should be absorbed into the hair and skin and should not leave any oily residue or mess. Give it some time.
b. Mix hemp powder in with your morning smoothie. Hemp contains a high amount of bio-available protein (meaning your body can absorb it easily, unlike most proteins from protein powders and weight-loss formulas). And your hair is made of keratin of which 90% is protein. So... get some hemp powder 💪🏼
Summary
And there you have it. We are finito!
A daily combination of these simple tips will put you on the direct track to fast growing, healthy hair.
It's time for you to get started!
